M60 Machine Gun

EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS, CAPABILITIES, AND FEATURES

M60 is an air-cooled and have fixed headspace allowing quick barrel changes for cooling and maintenance when required. In order to extend the life of the barrels, retain accuracy, and allow for continuous firing over long periods of time, two barrels assemblies are issued with each gun. The machine gun is gas-operated and fires from open bolt position.
