These are sophomores and juniors from North Georgia College's ROTC program that came up to give a demonstration in two of the US Army's 9 principles of land warfare of Mass and Surprise. These cadets laid under the trees on the edge of the woods for hours and then 6 of their buddies up the hill let lose with M60 machine guns. This group then opened up, stood up and rushed the OPFOR. As half of them would shoot, the other half would make a short rush and then get in position to shoot some more. The cadet in the camo BDU's in the second photo is a senior asking for an after action review of their demonstration. I thought it was just fine. It scared everybody there at first. They were all shooting M82 blanks from both the M60 machine gun and the M14 rifle.





In the above set of photos is the wed page author and a family member holding the M60 machine gun. The Army recruiter in the top left photo wanted us to take a picture of him holding this gun. He must have been in admin or something. Latter in 1994 I was assigned as our platoons Machine Gunner. I loved my M60 machine gun and as you can see at the bottom of this wed page I was issued FM 23-67 and TM 9-1005-224-10, which I still retain in my personal library. I feel that everybody should own an M60 machine gun and I am a firm believer in gun control. USE BOTH HANDS.
